MLI GROUP SALES TERMS OF SERVICE AGREEMENT (06/2020)

All registrants must agree to the terms of service.  

Each registration booking is confirmation of policies and is a binding agreement between the registrant and the Carriage House Cooking School.

Carriage House Cooking School Group Events policies

Booking, Registration & Payment

For the groups convenience all bookings and payments are handled through the Mirror Lake Inn’s Group Sales Office.

To register for a group event or class a guaranteed minimum head count and a non-refundable $500.00 USD deposit must be made no later than 4 weeks from the date of the event. A final head count is required 14 days in advance of the event. Registrations in excess of the guaranteed minimum will be billed in the final invoice.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All bookings are considered firm and payment is processed, guaranteed and assumed when a booking is confirmed.

No refund is given for cancellations.  

In the event a registrant decides that they are unable to attend their registered event, they may choose to transfer the registration to another person (please notify us).  In the event a transfer of registration to another party occurs, the attending party automatically agrees to the transfer and acceptance of all Carriage House Cooking School Terms of Service policies.

In the event the Carriage House Cooking School decides to cancel or reschedule an event they will issue a new date for the event and roll over the enrollments. If the new scheduled date is unacceptable to the registrant then a 100% refund will be made to the original form of payment within 72 hours of the notice of cancellation (an exception to this is the Public Safety Cancellation Clause below).

PUBLIC Safety Cancellation CLAUSE

An exception to the above Cancellation Policy will be made in the event that either a formal “Stay at Home Order”, or “State Of Emergency” is issued by a federal or New York State governmental agency directly related to a pandemic or other public health crisis (excluding weather).  The Carriage House Cooking School is not responsible for such events and the following a

In the event such an incident occurs, the registrant may choose to either apply 100% of their registration cost to a future Carriage House Cooking School event or accept a refund minus 25% fee for processing.  

Public Health Policy, WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK (Covid)

For the health and safety of all parties the Carriage House Cooking School will strive to follow the latest CDC and New York State Health Department Guidelines for social distancing and Covid 19 prevention where and when possible.

Additionally all registrants are expected to follow the latest CDC and New York State Health Department Guidelines for for social distancing and Covid 19 prevention. 

By participating in a Carriage House Cooking School event, registrants voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. 

All registrants agree to hold the Carriage House Cooking School harmless for any and all liability related to exposure to Covid 19 and the coronavirus during their event.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Cooking is an activity with embedded hazards, as such the Carriage House Cooking School, is not responsible for harm or damages occurred by registrants as a result of participation in cooking classes or events.

FOOD ALLERGIES & INSENSITIVITY

Given the nature of the Carriage House Cooking School’s curriculum and intimate environment in which the registrants and chef work alongside of one another the Carriage House Cooking School cannot accommodate for food allergies, dietary restrictions and other concerns for pre-built classes. 

The Carriage House Cooking School does not accept responsibility for food allergies or insensitivities. By participating in a Carriage House Cooking School event, registrants voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to food allergens (known and unknown).  All registrants agree to hold the Carriage House Cooking School harmless for any and all liability related to exposure to food allergens during their event.

ALCOHOl

In accordance with the New York State Liquor Authority all alcohol consumed in the public spaces of the Mirror Lake Inn must be purchased through the Mirror Lake Inn.  No exceptions to this rule will be allowed without specific permission granted from the Carriage House Cooking School and the Mirror Lake Inn.

TOBACCO 

The Mirror Lake Inn is a non-smoking facility. The Mirror Lake Inn’s smoking policy is in force while the registrant is on the premises.  For further guidance please contact the front desk staff of the Mirror Lake Inn.
