Sauces have the ability to enhance many dishes, adding moistness, vibrancy, contrast and flavor.  Yet, far too often sauces are not present in home cooking.  Join us and let this class change that reality for you.

In this class we will explore the world of sauces by better understanding their components and role within a dish.

1: liquid served with food, usually savory dishes, to add moistness and flavor.
2: a condiment or relish for food;  especially  : a fluid dressing or topping 
3: something that adds zest or piquancy 
4: stewed fruit eaten with other food or as a dessert
 

We will collectively create pan sauces and learn key ratios so when you get home you may experiment and play with success.  We will form compound butters for grilled foods, steamed vegetables and baked fish.  And lastly we will make herb vinaigrettes for a variety of applications.
